House M

This is a private house in north Tel Aviv designed for a family with a large art collection. The life of the couple centers around the living room with ample top lit wall space and horizontal surfaces to display their remarkable collection.

The site slopes gently allowing the construction of a lower level and English courtyards to light the space appropriately. The home has three levels: two small rooms on the lower level, the living-room, kitchen and dining room on the entrance level and the master bedroom on the upper level.

A graceful circular stair, inspired by that designed by Dov Karmi in Beit Ayala Zaks creates a visual and formal connection between the levels. The building is in acrylic plastered concrete with steel casement windows.
